Hot Tub Start-Up & Maintenance Guide

We carry Dazzle™ products to help you maintain a clean and balanced hot tub.

Start-Up Instructions while filling:

Add Dazzle™ Stain & Scale 1 (375 ml per 1,000 L) to cold water.
Once full, start the pump (aeration off) and begin heating.
Water Balancing:

Bring a sample to us for expert recommendations.
Balance the water accordingly.
Allow circulation for 2 hours.

Sanitization & Conditioning:

Apply Dazzle™ Amaze (2 caps per 1,000 L), circulate for 15 minutes, and leave the cover off for at least 1 hour.

Add Dazzle™ Botanical Cleanse (3 caps per 1,000 L) around the edges. (Avoid adding if sanitizer level is above 5 ppm.)

Establish sanitizer levels using Dazzle™ Bromine or Chlorine Granules, then fill the tablet dispenser to maintain 3.0 – 5.0 ppm.

Add Dazzle™ Performance Plus (200 g per 1,000 L) through the skimmer or near the suction plate.

Apply Dazzle™ Nature Sheen (20 ml per 1,000 L) to clear water; run the filter continuously and clean as needed.

Regular Maintenance As Needed
Test sanitizer and pH with Test Strips.
Maintain bromine/chlorine at 3.0 – 5.0 ppm and pH at 7.4 – 7.6.
Boost sanitizer levels if needed with Dazzle™ Bromine or Chlorine Granules.

Weekly Routine:
Dazzle™ Stain & Scale 2: 1 cap per 1,000 L to prevent staining and scale.
Dazzle™ Amaze: 2 caps per 1,000 L to oxidize water. (Heavy use may require more frequent applications.)
Dazzle™ Botanical Cleanse: 3 caps per 1,000 L to remove organics.
Refill the tablet dispenser to sustain 3.0 – 5.0 ppm bromine/chlorine levels.

Add weekly doses of:
Dazzle™ Performance Plus (6½ caps per 1,000 L).
Dazzle™ Nature Sheen (½ cap per 1,000 L).
Brush, skim, and vacuum.
Rinse the filter cartridge with a garden hose.
Use Dazzle™ Tub Cleanse for the waterline if necessary.

Monthly Routine:
Get water tested at Main Street Pool & Spa. Adjust pH, alkalinity, and calcium hardness as needed.
Deep clean the cartridge filter with Dazzle™ Filter Cleanse.
Draining & Deep Cleaning
Before Draining:

Use Dazzle™ Drain Prep the day before.
Let it circulate to clean plumbing lines.
Draining & Cleaning:

Drain the tub and clean surfaces with Dazzle™ Tub Cleanse.
Clean filter cartridges with Dazzle™ Filter Cleanse.
Clean and protect the cover with Dazzle™ Cover Cleanse & Protect.

Important Notes
✅ Always add chemicals directly to the water with the pump running and aeration off.
